一、意义及目的
两千多年前,汉代张骞的凿空之行,开启了中国同中亚各国友好交往的大门,开辟出一条横贯东西、连接欧亚的丝绸之路。长安作为丝绸之路的起点,东西方各国的文化和艺术在这里交融、碰撞。发展到盛唐时期,更成为整个丝绸之路文化艺术的聚集地和发散地。然而时过境迁,盛极一时的盛唐文明终究成为了史书和传说。幸运的是,近年来随着考古工作的不断进展,陆续从唐长安周边墓室中发现了大量精美壁画,为唐代文化和丝路文明艺术史研究、再现等问题的探讨提供了大量详实、珍贵的第一手资料。
由于这些壁画绘制在薄弱的墙皮上,又经千年历程,变的极度脆弱,因此,壁画收藏和保护仍然是世界各大博物馆和文物保护机构目前所面临的极大难题。从上世纪50年代,壁画被揭取保存到博物馆以来,始终没有对观众大范围展出。直到2011年6月20日陕西历史博物馆建成并开放 “唐代壁画珍品馆”,在恒温恒湿的环境下陈列展出珍藏的500余幅、总面积超过1000多平方米的唐代壁画中的97幅作品,包括著名的章怀太子墓、懿德太子墓、永泰公主墓等墓室壁画,至此观众们才获得了近距离感受大唐艺术魅力的机会,陕西历史博物馆也成为全国首个将唐代壁画全面展示给观众的博物馆。
《丝路画语—第二届唐代壁画珍品临摹大赛》在2013年陕西省首届《唐代壁画珍品临摹大赛》取得圆满成功的基础上,为了让全国更多的美术工作者有机会参与唐代壁画艺术珍品的学习、探讨与传承,进一步扩展唐代壁画珍品的社会影响力,使其成为古都西安吸引中外游客的新亮点。此次大赛以唐代壁画珍品馆为平台而展开。其主旨是以还原性临摹为基础,再现唐代丝路之上的灿烂艺术成就,弘扬民族优秀传统文化,传承和保护壁画珍品,为“丝绸之路经济带”的建立助力,同时,让博物馆中的文物“活起来”这一理念得到确切落实,真正实现“文物惠民”。

三、大赛主题说明
1.本次大赛仅限还原性临摹(再现千年壁画原貌)。
2.本次大赛临摹作品对象围绕丝路中的中西文化交流而展开。
四、活动时间及内容
2015年4月—2015年5月底,通过媒体发布大赛活动通告及细则并接受报名,同时对所有报名者进行初赛,选拔20人参加现场临摹。
2015年6月中旬,启动仪式、举办新闻发布会。向媒体及社会宣布第二届唐代珍品临摹大赛活动正式启动。
2015年6月中旬—2015年11月中旬,初赛入选选手免费进入陕西历史博物馆唐代壁画珍品馆现场临摹,期间邀请专家与选手进行现场交流、指导、了解壁画出土背景,举办壁画历史、技法等讲座。
2015年11中旬—2015年12月底,评选委员会进行终评,举行颁奖仪式及大赛总结大会。
2016年在陕西历史博物馆举办临摹作品特别展览。
五、相关事项
1、参赛条件:
有5年以上绘画经验,不限性别、年龄、地域,参赛者需为专业绘画工作者或相关专业在校学生。
本次大赛分:专业团队组(限3人)、专业个人组
学生团队组(限3人)、学生个人组
2、报名者须填写参赛表格 (从陕西历史博物馆官网:http://www.sxhm.com 下载) 并附本人绘画作品照片一幅 (8吋,参赛表格附于作品照片背面,相纸打印),以及作品的电子版 (10兆以上,分辨率 300dpi),寄送陕西历史博物馆临摹大赛组委会。
3、绘制原墓室壁画需采用接近原壁效果的地仗层时,必须与原作保持尺寸差异。
4、参赛者(团体或个人)必须提交一幅本次大赛主题要求的临摹作品进行终评。

The Second Competition of Replicating Tang Mural Paintings
I. SignificancePurpose
More than 2,000 years ago, the Envoy ZHANG Qian officially exploreddiscovered the eastern part of Silk Roads, which contacts the Eurasian Continent and, formally established the diplomacyinteraction between the Hinterland ChinaCentral Asia. Chang’an, as the starting point of Silk Roads, becamethe hub of culturalart’s interaction between the occidentorient. Until the prosperous of Tang Dynasty, Chang’an was as famous as the hubsource of artculture along the Silk Roads. However, the golden age had been changedthe legendhistory. Fortunately, due to the development of recent archaeological works, moremore Tang murals have been discovered, salvagedconserved, which provided the mega fresh valuable resources to research the art historycivilization of Silk Roads, as well as, the Tang Dynastic cultures.
Due to the murals were painted on the thin wall surface, after thousands years, they becameextreme weak, which causes the incredible difficulty to restoreconserve in the museuminstitution of culture heritage conservation all over the world. Since 1950s, the murals were salvagedunveiled continuously, but hardly exhibited to the public. On June 20th, 2011, Shaanxi History Museum established the Pavilion of Tang Dynastic Valuable Murals, 97 valuable pieces of those more than 500 pieces1,000㎡, including the Mausoleums of Zhanghuai Prince, Yide PrinceYongtai Princess are exhibited to the public, which provides magnificent opportunity to enjoy them closely. It also makes the Shaanxi History Museum becamethe 1st museum all over China, which comprehensively exhibits the Tang Dynastic murals to the audience.
The 2nd Competition of Replicating Tang Mural Paintings succeeds from the 1st match in 2013,provide more opportunities for more artists to participate the study, discussionsuccession. Furthermore, to enlarge the impact of society, as well as, promote our ancient capital – Xi’an (Chang’an) to be a new hot spot of domesticinternational tourists. The competition bases on collection of the Pavilion of Tang Dynastic Valuable Murals in the Shaanxi History Museum. Our purpose is to imitate the murals, renaissance the brilliant Tang Dynastic arts along the Silk Roads, promote the excellent traditional culture, succeedconserve the murals, promote the establishment of “Silk Roads Economic Zone”, meanwhile, implement the theory of “To Live Antiques” in the museum, as well as, the policy of “Benefits the Public by Antiques”.

III. Theme:
1. The match is only limited to imitate the original state (restore the original scene of murals).
2. The imitating target is about the interaction of Sino-Occidental cultures along the Silk Roads.
IV. ScheduleContent:
Ø April to the end of May, 2015, to announcerelease the detailed rules of match through the media, accept the registration, meanwhile, organize the preliminary for all of applicants20 candidates of them for imitating the murals in the museum.
Ø Mid June, 2015, to organize the ceremonypress conference, announce the match to the public formally.
Ø Mid June to mid November, 2015, the 20 nominated candidates will be allowed to imitate in the pavilion of Tang Dynastic Valuable Murals in the Shaanxi History Museum freely. In the stage, the committee will organize the series of events, including the lecture to promote the interaction between the invited expertscandidate artists, which are about the artistic skill, historicalarchaeological background, etc.
Ø Mid November to the end of December, 2015, the committee completes the evolution, organizes the award ceremonyconclusion conference.
Ø In 2016, the Shaanxi History Museum organizes the special exhibition of imitating murals’ works.
V. Relative Items:
1. Requirements:
Ø More than 5 years’ professional experience of painting. No limitation of gender, agearea. The participant should be the professional painterundergraduate/graduate student of proper faculties.
Ø The applicants are divided4 parts: professional team (≤3 people), professional individual, student team (≤3 people)individual student.
2. The applicant needs to downloadfill the application form of the competition (link: http://www.sxhm.com/UploadFiles/2015/04/201504271635025614.doc in Chinese) and, attaches with a piece of 8 inch photo of art work, which is printed by photo paper, as well as its digital edition (bigger than 10MB, 300dpi), mail to the committee of competition of replication Tang murals in the Shaanxi History Museum.
3. When the participant imitates the murals, he/she should keep the different size between the original.
4. The participant should provide a piece of required imitating work to the committee as the evaluated work.

7. The match doesn’t charge any fee of registration. As for the outlander of Xi’an, the committee provides the proper accommodation (hostelfood) during the imitating stage.
